A hands-on workshop where you will explore in more depth some of the creative things you can do with Adobe Lightroom, while learning about advanced features. You will explore unique photo collages, printing possibilities, professional protection and identification, creative slideshows and presentations, printing, tethered camera shooting, and examples of how you can share your Lightroom photos over the web and through social sites like Facebook and Flickr. Prerequisite: Fundamentals of Photography, Lightroom Introduction
Required Equipment: You should have a copy of Adobe Lightroom 3.0 software available for use in all class sessions. A 30-day free trial is available for download from Adobe.com
A laptop and charger is required for participation in the class.
Bring some of your favorite personal or professional photos to create creative slideshows, web galleries, and print collages. Set up Facebook or Flickr accounts ahead of time if you would like to experiment with those social sites.
Select cameras can be tethered to Lightroom where shots taken by your camera immediately show up in Lightroom. To experiment with these features, bring your fully charged camera and the USB cable it uses to connect it to the computer. Visit this web site to see if your camera is supported.

Course Description:
You have used Lightroom to sort, rate, and catalog your favorite images. You have used the develop module to make your photos look great. Now what?
This course will focus on how to take your photos out of Lightroom and do something great with them. In this class you will learn professional tricks and techniques to identify your work , make it creative, and get it out there for the world to see. You will learn how to set up Lightroom to work with popular social networking sites like Facebook and Flickr. You will explore music slideshows, PDF presentations, and web site galleries. We will even look at exciting new features of Lightroom 4, that is just around the corner.
You will learn how to get deeper into some of the other Lightroom modules and be shown some examples of how to create interesting photo collages and print layouts you may have never thought were possible.
You will also learn additional advanced techniques like camera tethering and efficient use of presets and other ways to improve your workflow.
Not only will you be taught these techniques, you will have the opportunity to practice them in class with instructor supervision. So bring some of your favorite photos to the class, and you will walk away with a new way to show them off.
You are guaranteed to learn to use Lightroom like you have never used it before and you won't want to miss it!
The first two hours of each class will focus on instruction, and the final hour will consist of assisted lab and practice time.
