Course Description:
It can take years to master all of the tools in the Adobe Photoshop program. In this 6 hour seminar, you will be introduced to the photo program's capabilities only and you will be shown how to simplify your photography workflow process.
This class provides an overview of Photoshop basics and is a stepping off point for more in-depth instruction, such as the Photoshop Power User, HDR and Composite workshops.

Topics Covered:- Review of the Photoshop interface & layout
- Workflow overview
- Introduction to Layers masks and Adjustment layers
- Cleaning up images; Color correction, Cropping, Exposure changes, Color Saturation, Noise reduction, Image resolution and Sharpening
- Techniques in image enchantments; Converting to black and white, Isolating color, Skin softening, Uses of vibrant color, Removing unwanted elements.
- Exporting as .jpg for printing purposes
This is a second level course. Students must have taken the Fundamentals of Photography class, or its equivalent, and have a working knowledge of their camera and basic computer operation.
Prerequisite: Fundamentals of Photography
Required Equipment: DSLR Camera (Digital Single Lens Reflex), a card reader or cable to connect camera to laptop, a laptop computer and battery charger, tools for taking notes and Photoshop software.
Photoshop CS4 Software - A full-priced copy of Photoshop CS4 is not required; a 30-day free trial is available for download from Adobe.com
