Prerequisite: Fundamentals of Photography
Required Equipment: DSLR Camera (Digital Single Lens Reflex), a card reader or cable to connect camera to laptop, a laptop computer and battery charger, tools for taking notes and Elements 10 software.

Course Description:
IPC's Adobe Elements Introduction class provides you with the knowledge to take your photo-editing skills to the next level. This 6-hour seminar will introduce you to this powerful program's capabilities and show you how to simplify your photography workflow process.
The award-winning Adobe Photoshop Elements software is a robust image editor, which is essentially a stripped-down version of Photoshop, and is very popular among hobby photographers. During this class, you will learn to harness the power of this software through lessons and hands-on editing opportunities.
Topics Covered:- The Elements interface & layout
- Workflow overview
- Workflow overview: Non-destructive, Multiple edits, Virtual copies, Exports copies, Copy settings
- Cleaning up images; Color correction, Cropping, Brightness and contrast, Color Saturation, Sharpening, Noise reduction, Chromatic Aberration, Image resolution and sizing
- Techniques in image enchantments, Converting to black and white, Isolating color, Skin softening, Uses of vibrant color, Removing unwanted elements.
- Printing and exporting for web use
We also offer second level courses in Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop and an advanced, third level course, Photoshop Power User.
This is a second level course. Students must have taken the Fundamentals of Photography class, or its equivalent, and have a working knowledge of their camera and basic computer operation.
